VOL. 2 SYNOPSIS
There is a plague spreading across this country that is taking the lives of many people, especially the youth, and it is disturbing and upsetting that the public outcry is not greater over the distruction that it leaves in its path. The plague: Urban violence.
We need to curb this epidemic by properly addressing the issue of gun and knife violence, especially as it is seriously affecting our youth and continues to bring misery to families.
We need to come up with strategies to not only go after those who kill and terrorise our communities with strict law enforcement tactics, but also to provide the mental health, counselling, employment opportunities, education and recreation services that are sorely lacking in many of our communities today.
We need to change attitudes and behaviours regarding gun and knife violence so that it is no longer acceptable to shoot or stab first and ask questions later when disputes arise in our communities.
This book attempts to suggest methods by which we can restore the value of human life and dignity and offer those who need it most new opportunities to change their lives and become respected and productive members of society.
The image on the vol. 2 cover depicts two men - a hoodie, and a man dressed in suit. For illustration purposes, the hoodie represents a hoodlum and the man in suit, a company director. So, where would you say you fit in with these two men, and do you agree with the argument that society always judge you by the way you portray yourself?
It is a fact that society's judgement is sometimes based on pre-concieved ideas and stereotypes. However, the general perception of society is usually based on the way a man carries himself.
They say clothes does not always make the man, but sometimes it does, and people usually treat you according to how you present yourself. If you present yourself as worthless and inconsequential, that is exactly how you will be treated.
The hoodlum for example is assumed guilty in any kind of eventuality because of how he carries himself. He presents himself as worthless and society treats him as such and cannot wait to get rid of him.
A well dressed man is usually respected and given the benefit of the doubt, although he could be the biggest thug committing corporate crime.
Society generally treats you according to how you present yourself and if you present yourself as a low life no one would think much of you.

Thus, it reveals the secrets about black peoples state of mind and how it was programmed since slavery days.
Certain quotes from this book are highly thought-provoking, and they highlight the truest intentions of our former slave and colonial masters, whose quest was to use and demean Blacks.
This book also reveals the method by which the Black race can permanently change their situation by stepping out of the shadows of their former slave and colonial masters, improve their image, and establish a respectable place in society.
Finally, this book will enlighten anyone with deep historical analysis of the dilemma of the Black race.
OVER VIEW OF THE BLACK RACE
The late Dr. John Henrik Clarke, the renowned African-American historian once said that to keep a people incarcerated, you must control the images they have of themselves.
For centuries, children of the African Diaspora have been in the wilderness and images of ourselves have been portrayed through the eyes of another race. We have lost our identity and the zeal to find out and face the truth. In so doing, the truth keeps eluding us and we have been on a long journey, yet our destination still seems so far away.
The Black Race (Citizens of God) is about the untold true story which changed the course of nature and turned the lives of a whole race upside down. It reveals the secret about our state of mind and how it has been psychologically and scientifically programmed since slavery days. The way Black people think and behave has long been programmed and was worked out methodically some three hundred years ago.
